Tet Gift Boxes That Make You Want to Go Home to Your Family Right Away

This Tet gift box collection, inspired by the Vietnamese tradition of returning home to reunite with family for Tet, has impressed many people. These Tet gift boxes are exported to the U.S. by a Vietnamese company.

In recent years, Tet gift boxes have replaced gift baskets in popularity in big cities, as boxes look elegant, are suitable for gifting and are not bulky. This year, businesses continue to invest care in the Tet gift box market.

These Tet gift sets, rich in Vietnamese cultural tradition and carrying the message “Coming home is Tet – Family above all,” are made by a company in Ho Chi Minh City and sold all the way to the U.S. Domestic sales have also grown well compared to last year, an optimistic sign amid an overall sluggish market.

“We put care into every design and every Tet gift box to tell a story, the journey home for Tet of the Vietnamese people. That’s why the products have attracted so much interest and love,” said Ms. Lam Thuy Nguyen Hong, Director of GIA LONG ARTS J.S.C, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.

The company introduced 14 Tet gift box designs with the message “Coming home is Tet – Family above all.” What makes them special is that the gift sets tell one continuous story about the journey home to celebrate Tet with family. Each box recreates a memory of traditional Tet that is both special and familiar.

It begins with packing your bags and catching a coach back to your hometown for Tet. Everyone living away from home looks forward to that ride home to celebrate with their family.

“Tet Coming Home” is a gift box that recreates the window of a childhood home, taking us back to beautiful memories of Tet in the old days. The window frame features flowers blooming in spring and swallows returning, bringing happiness and luck for the new year.

Next, the journey of celebrating Tet with family would not be complete without the Tet market, decorating the house, gathering to watch Tet TV programs, welcoming New Year’s Eve, exchanging New Year wishes and welcoming the lion dance home…

Each gift box faithfully recreates every event and milestone in the Vietnamese Tet experience. The gift baskets are carefully and creatively designed from paper. Inside are very Vietnamese treats such as candied winter melon, lotus seeds, candied ginger, peanut brittle…

Ms. Lam Thuy Nguyen Hong said this is the first year the company’s Tet gift box collection has officially been shipped to the U.S. More than 1,300 Tet gift boxes were transported by sea to the U.S. and were warmly received by the market.

“We sell B2B. Vietnamese businesses in the U.S. also need Tet gifts for their Vietnamese customers and employees. Vietnamese people there also want to celebrate Tet, so Tet gifts are very popular. Our products are already selling very well, even though this is our first year getting to know the market,” Ms. Hong shared happily.

According to Ms. Hong, Tet gifts are very common, but the cultural element and story behind this year’s gift sets are what really “score points” and win over Vietnamese people overseas.

Another special feature of this Tet gift box collection is that the packaging can be reused. After enjoying the treats inside, the boxes can be reused, extending their life instead of being thrown away.

Their functions include calendar frames, picture frames, a cake-tossing game, plant pots, a mini movie projector… Coming from a company specializing in design, the gift sets are highly aesthetic from the moment they are given until they are reused.

The company’s uniquely designed Tet gift sets are also selling well domestically, despite the generally difficult market. Domestic prices range from 289,000 to 870,000 VND. Compared to the same period last year, Tet sales volume and orders have increased by about 25%.
